Biography
Virgo, depicted by a maiden! Did astrologers not stop to think that Virgo's grow up? That they don't particularly wish to remain celibate all their lives, that they too have rights? Emma Hadley (born 13 September) will quite simply explain that that's the ancient Virgo and walk off laughing! She's fun, she's caring, she's intelligent and she's got the meanest sense of humour many can only but pray for.
Born in Southport, Lancashire, and growing up in Cheshire, Emma attended the Grange School in Hartford and at a young age immigrated to Spain and completed studies at the EIC in Marbella, graduating with A levels in English, Business Studies, History and Spanish, which explains her sudden outbursts into certain Flamenco moves in the middle of a telephone conversation or while compiling her local news report!
After having played the part of a tree, bird, angel, middle-aged Scottish woman, middle aged Australian woman and middle aged any woman in every conceivable school play, it's no wonder they voted her Head Girl. Anybody who can play the part of the tree has to be Head Girl, because Emma will tell you that in order to be a proper tree you need a certain “je ne sais quoi”!
There are three things that suit Emma more than anything else and have almost turned into an addiction and they are shoes, handbags and luggage! The shoes and handbags are probably remnants of mental torment after having worked in a ladies clothes and accessories shop as a first job. It shows that one cannot be thrust into a world of fashion at an early age or young girls like Emma develop a habit! There must have been a travel agency next door because Emma has become a compulsive traveller, having visited Florida, New York, France, Holland, most of Spain and the whole of the UK!
Her hobbies include films, reading, computers (she even builds them!), travelling (of course), eating at restaurants (who feels like cooking), shopping till dropping (got to do things properly) and music.
Emma started at Central FM back in 1999 compiling and reading the local news. When her wicked sense of humour was detected, she joined Tony Keys to form the infamously famous Chat Room, a fantastic banter which takes place every day Monday to Friday at 09:45.
Her computer skills and knowledge of programming means that Emma also compiles the UK Chart Countdown which is aired every Saturday and Sunday at 16:00.
