Biography

Born in Romford, Essex, on the 30th of June, makes Keith a Cancerian. Like the crab, the ‘hard on the outside, soft on the inside’ trait has applied since he could talk!

Highlighting the typical tough, self-assertiveness common under the Cancer sign, at only 12 years of age, Keith appeared in Peter Pan in London’s West End playing Tootles the lost boy who shot Wendy! With other appearances in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Oliver and Scrooge, as well as a dancer on the Cilla Black show, Keith has never shied away from the spotlight. He also appeared in Top of the Pops as one of Sandy Shaw’s dancers, as well as Keith West on ‘Excerpt From a Teenage Opera”.

Becoming a DJ at the tender age of 20, Keith has been entertaining audiences the world over. His boundless energy then saw him move on to Peter Stringfellow’s hippodrome in London. Keith also had a career as a financial adviser for many years in the UK.

With Keith’s favourite food being Indian, and his favourite drink tea, he obviously chose Spain to reside back in 1997!!

Asked who are his all time favourite band…there was no hesitation, with the Moody Blues the outright winner.

Join Keith Dewhurst every Monday to Friday from 5pm, for a great mix of music, competitions and chat.
