No shortage of Aquarians at Central - Ian's birthday is February 1st.

Ian is originally from Nottingham and was educated at Forest Fields Grammar School. Always an athletic type, his plan was to become a P.E. teacher. However while doing A levels, an oppertunity for the band (in which Ian playedguitar and trumpet) to turn professional came along and he found himself singing 6 nights a week in a club inChesterfield. The band went on to tour all over Europe, eventually breaking-up when Ian emigrated to Spain in 1986.

Ian's move into broadcasting came in the early '90's when he was part of the team that set up Spain's first English languageradio station. In 1996 Ian began presenting The Breakfast Show for the now defunct Onda Cero Internationalbased in Marbella. This he did for 10 years and was "Programme Controler" for the latter part of his time there.

Still a keen sportsman, Ian enjoys playing tennis, swimming, and working-out. If you wander into the studioduring a long track on his show, chances are he'll be doing some press-ups or maybe a few squat-thrusts(NOT a pretty sight!).

Having joined the Central FM team in early 2010, Ian became the presenter of the Weekend Breakfast Show where heoffers a mix of musical tastes and enjoys getting listeners involved with 'phone-ins and competiions.

Ian run's a mobile disco and performs live twice weekly at Moochers Jazz Cafe in Fuengirola.
