Born on the 19th of February, Steve is a combination of a crazy Aquarian mixed with an ambitious, hard-working Pisces.

Originally from Sheffield, he grew up in the south of Spain and has lived here more or less permanently ever since.

Steve formed a rock band shortly after leaving school and plucking away on the electric guitar helped develop his enthusiasm for music. We say “plucking away” in a very affectionate manner; he's actually rather good. He'll claim otherwise!

It's no wonder then that he feels passionate about rock music, particularly the likes of David Bowie, Pink Floyd, U2, The Doves, Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon, Keane, Aerosmith, Guns ‘n’ Roses – anything with guitars, drums and some half decent vocals will hit the spot.
Steve has a talent for spotting bands before they become commercially successful and championing them on his shows and enjoys exploring new music to share with the listeners.

It’s not just Rock music though – any genre, including many modern day & classic pop tracks will make it onto his playlist, as long as they are current top 40, popular classics, or anything with a bit of depth.

In his spare time Steve likes to be out and about socialising. You’ll never see him in a club – but very often in the wee hours watching good live music or spending time with friends.

His hobbies include snooker and golf – although he has now been banned from virtually every golf course on the Costa del Sol as he is a hazard to other players.

Known for his sense of humour, Steve sees the funny side in most situations. If there’s ever any doubt as to whether he’s serious or joking – trust us: he’s joking.

Steve joined Central FM in 2001, and despite a necessary 18 month business break in Morocco, has been with the station ever since. Steve is passionate about Central FM and firmly believes the station is the best in Spain – he feels immensely proud to be a part of the station and attributes the station’s success to the loyalty and interaction of the listeners – who make the whole thing worthwhile!
