Biography

Born on 30th October Tony is the quintessential Scorpio, friendly, helpful, sensitive, and he certainly likes to think he has a sting in his tail. (His own appraisal).

After graduating from Watford University the lure of showbiz was ever present. He started by playing drums in a group, and when the lead singer quit he was quick to take over that role. The group made numerous television appearances and released six single records - none of which were successful and after three years the group disbanded.

Realizing that he had neither the appearance nor talent to be a star, Tony set out to make what turned out to be a very successful career as a compére hosting Caesar's Palace for two years, and compéring the London Palladium three times.

Recording became a passion, and after producing several singles for artistes including Gene Pitney and Shane Ritchie, Tony thought that the way to continue to entertain was in radio.

Migrating to the Costa del Sol in 2000, he joined a local radio station before joining - as he puts it - the pinnacle of broadcasting with Central FM. Having been in the industry since 'steam radio', Tony's wide knowledge of music results in a very varied cross section of all tastes - the word eclectic is normally banded around here - and his sense of humour make for fun listening at the weekend.
